Property Description

The apartment is very small (50 square metres) and very basically furnished, as it is intended as a base for a vacation-time spent mainly outside. Its location is gorgeous, though: it's a sort of balcony on the sea, thanks to its two terraces from which one can enjoy a breath-taking panorama: tha channel in between Salina and Lipari in front of you, the volcano of Stromboli on the left and the Lingua light-house southbound. Mediterranean vegetation all around you.

Living Area

There is not an indoor living area. So, if you mean a fireplace atmosphere to sip your favourite drink while reading or watching TV, do not go there! The living area is outside: do sip your drink while sitting on the small shadowed terrace next to the kitchen, or in the larger terrace where you can suntan in extreme privacy.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is rather small: there is all you need to cook (pots, pans, dishes, pottery, a fridge), but there is not a oven: so, sorry: no roasted turkey! Not much room to eat inside, but the outside table (under the porch) will do.

Great outside environment: just take a look at the pictures.

Suitability

Not for people looking for a de-luxe accomodation. It suits tourists who want to live in close contact with nature, who usually spend tha day-time going around, sighseeing, hiking. Most people go to Salina for the seaside; well, this is just downstairs, but forget about a very large beach! No sandy beaches in Salina: just tiny pebble/stony spots, but the water is great! And don't forget what most tourists do forget: the mountain background: climb up to the top of the ancient volcano (997 metres, a 2-hour walk) and you'll have the feeling to go from a Mediterranean seaside place to an Alpine-like environment.

To get to the aprtment you need to go up a 90-step stair. Not suitable to people with walking troubles.
