Property Description

Our newly renovated apartment is at the top of an 18th century building in the center of World Heritage listed Bordeaux. There is a spectacular view from the terrace, overlooking the ancient city gate, the Porte de Bourgogne. Beyond is the Garonne river and the Pont de Pierre - the bridge over which Napoleon took his troops to Paris. You can sit with a drink in hand feeling like you are in the front row of a theatre.

The apartment has a mix of modern and antique furnishings and is colorful, warm and inviting.

Accommodation is for up to 4 people, with 2 bedrooms (each with 2 single beds that can be made into a double). There is a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with separate toilet.

As well as the beautiful spiral staircase, there is also an elevator. Taxis can stop outside the door and the tram stop is just 300 feet away. There is also a supervised parking station two minutes walk away. (12 euros per day or a discount for longer periods.) Our manager will be there to greet and show you around.

Area Description

Our Bordeaux apartment is an ideal base for sightseeing. You can stroll along the cobbled streets to top-class restaurants, as well as bistros, bars and cafes. Two minutes walk away is the Gothic cathedral of Saint Michel. Every weekend in the surrounding square is the biggest open-air food market and antiques market in the region. The apartment is also close to Rue St Catherine - the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe - museums, art galleries and the famous Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux. Further afield you can visit famous vineyards and elegant châteaux; pretty villages and the beautiful beaches surrounding the Bay of Arcachon.
