Property Description

There are four double rooms in this property (either with a double or 2 single beds) which is situated right in the heart of the historical part of the 'Old' town and is just 150 meters from the fantastic, long, sandy Central Beach.

There is a small bistro/bar on the ground floor where you can have a meal of just sit and relax with a bottle of local wine or enjoy a local beer which will cost you about 30p.

Sozopol is the ideal destination for everyone who wants to get the best from their holiday. If it is lounging on the beach all day in the sun and late night partying, this is the place to be. Sozopol – said to be the oldest town in Bulgaria is divided into two parts. The Old Town to the north with its winding cobbled streets, stone and wooden houses and its unique history is a huge tourist attraction, playing host to visitors from all corners of the world.

Small restaurants and bars overlooking the sea with fantastic views and great food can be found all along the edge of the Old Town. The seafood is absolutely fantastic - so tasty - so fresh. A pint of larger will set you back 40p and a three course meal, with wine, is under £5.

Sozopol in the summer months is a thriving, exciting resort, The Old and the New Towns are linked together by the town park and here you can find many stalls selling ‘designer’ clothes, souvenirs and paintings by local artists. Street entertainers will keep you amused as you stroll along.

The New Town, in contrast, is full of modern hotels, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants and bars that stay open late into the night.

After a hard day of swimming, eating, exploring and shopping, you can either relax with a drink at one of the numerous bars or cafes or dance the night away at one of the many venues catering for the ‘party animal’.

The climate on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast is typically Mediterranean with long hot summers and mild autumns. The average temperature during the summer months is 24 - 29 degrees centigrade, with an average of 8 to 11 hours sunshine per day. This makes the Sozopol area one of the sunniest in Bulgaria and gives the opportunity of sunbathing and swimming from May to October.

Both the Old and New town have their own fantastic long golden sandy beach, which alternates with small rocky bays and sea caves, which jut out into the sea. Both beaches have sun beds, umbrellas, beachside bars and restaurants situated right on the beach and water sports - pedaloes, banana boats, jet skiing, ringos and scuba diving. There are a couple of trampolines and swings for the ‘the little ones’. For a couple of pounds, why not end your day on the beach with a soothing and relaxing massage – after all sunbathing is exhausting!

For those who are not into lying around in the sun, there are bars/restaurants on the beach with pool tables and arcade machines.

Living Area

The rooms have either 1 double or 2 single beds and each room has a toilet & shower, fridge, satellite T.V. and a balcony with beautiful sea views. An extra bed can be provided, at no extra cost

Kitchen Facilities

No kitchen, but tea/coffee making facilities available - but with eating out so cheap, who wants to bother with cooking !!

Outside

Each room has a balcony with beautiful views of Sozopol Bay.

Suitability

If it is an inexpensive type holiday you are looking for, this type of accommodation is perfect for you. It is 'budget' priced and would suit students, back packers or anyone who just wants a comfortable base from which to explore Sozopol and surrounding areas.

Local Activities

Water sports, sunbathing, exploring and shopping. Take one of the many excursions on offer. Explore this magnificent town from a gypsy horse and carriage.

There is so much to do: you will find you don't have time to do everything.

Wander around the numerous market stalls selling a huge variety of goods. Purchase 'designer' jeans, trainers, handbags, watches etc.

If you are a 'history' lover – Sozopol - said to be the oldest town in Bulgaria - is the place for you. Just on the outskirts of the town there is an archeological 'dig' taking place.

Had enough of the beach – why not go up into the mountains or explore one of the many forests full of fascinating wildlife.

Take a boat trip down the Ropotomo River which runs through the National Reserve Park. You could see more than 200 species of birds – seven of which are endangered. Keep an eye out for turtles and snakes.

All in all there is nothing that Sozopol, and surrounding areas, do not offer to ensure you have a fantastic holiday.

Other Information

At night Sozopol is a vibrant, energetic place. You will find it hard to choose from the many bars, clubs and nightclubs - most of which stay open till the early hours.
Especially recommended is the ‘Tequilla Bar’, which is a floating platform down at the harbour. It gets extremely crowded and is very lively as is ‘The Living Room’ next door. This has a huge dance floor and luxurious chairs to sink into while you sip your cocktails – which will cost under £1. What more could you ask for!!
