Come rain or sunshine there is always something on to do and I am going to share some of these fabulous must sees with you to make your holiday just the most unforgettable. Let's start with the Phuket Fanta Sea Show which is extremely professional and great fun, displaying elephants on stage as well as trapeze artists basically pulling off a would be Las Vegas show, there is so nothing like this anywhere as well as combining the traditional myths and fantasy of Thai culture, this is really a must see show.
The Simon Cabaret which is a transvestite cabaret show is a staggering musical floor show with world renowned performers, with stunning costumes and man you can't tell the difference of who is who this show is so well choreographed and is so worth seeing. There is also a fortune of view points which look over the east and the west of Phuket where while relaxing can afford the splendour of the sun rising or setting. There are also views stretching over the ocean and on a clear day you can see Phi-Phi Island. There is also the three Beaches hilltop venue. These view point have to be visited to really appreciate what I am describing.
In Phuket's slumbering provincial capital you can explore the old Phuket town where you will find the most extraordinary shops which are ever shoppers delight as well as offering many restaurants and beautiful sights. There is a mixture of Chinese and colonial architecture and a very special quaintness and just expect the unexpected which will all just make your day.
One of the most important temples in Phuket is Wat Chalong and is frequented by thousands of people every year. It is exquisitely decorated with tiny pieces of glass and many pagodas which throw reflections all around. Festivals are also held here and you can then buy virtually anything as well as sample the Thai delicacies. Please read up on this wonder of Thailand as it is a really interesting Temple.
To see is Phuket waterfalls which are truely beautiful and good to just sit around relaxing or maybe even have a picnic and a dip in the cool waters. During the monsoon season Ton Sai and Bang Pae are waterfalls with surrounding jungle area which you can take a stroll through and visit the Gibbons Monkey rehab centre.
Then there is the Big Buddha on top of the Nakkerd Hills looking down over Chalong, Rawai and Kata. This statue towers forty five meters high and cost around three million to construct. Alongside this statue is a smaller gold brass image. There is still so much more for visitors to see and do and of course there are the Phuket vegetarian and gay festivals that take place which is an absolute array of colours and fun.
Phuket's weather is rather tropical and consists of two types of weather hot and dry and then the rainy season of which both are exceptionally pleasant as it rarely ever gets cold. At least once in your life time you have to visit Phuket just to have this Thai experience. Phuket self catering accommodation makes this trip so affordable.
